Futuristic technology has paid us a visit, and it is incredible indeed. A strange looking chair like vehicle has made an appearance at the Digital Contents Expo in Tokyo, capturing the attention of techies everywhere. The “Media Vehicle”, designed by Iwata-Yano Laboratory at the University of Tsukuba, allows the user to sit inside a hub that shows them both virtual and reality worlds.

The mounted spherical display lets the user move around the real world (with 5 wheels), while exploring a fictional world inside. The “Media Vehicle” truly defines technology from the future and seems like something everyone would enjoy. Just imagine yourself taking a nap on the beach, while a snowstorm blows away everything outside. Now that’s what I call virtual reality.
