As we’ve all heard, Netflix has finally arrived to the PlayStation 3. While this is great news, iPhone users are still in the dark about whether or not Netflix is looking into mobile streaming. Earlier last month, Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings reported that Netflix was currently focusing on game consoles, and that iPhone streaming was further down on the list of priorities. The PS3 streaming, set to arrive next month, makes us question if Mobile Netflix is arriving anytime soon.
After all, the major game consoles and Blu-Ray players are out of the way, so why not iPhone, right? Hastings also said in last month’s interview with Reuters that, “it was something that is likely to come over time”, which kind of tells us that Netflix has thought about mobile streaming before. This can only mean one thing, iPhone customers are looking at a long wait for Netflix to arrive in mobile version, sort of like the PlayStation owners, who waited for their streaming capabilities.
