Are you ready to rock? Here comes U2! Tonight, U2 will be the first of bands to stream their global concert live on Youtube, straight from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Just like Youtube announced earlier this week on their site, 16 countries will be able to view the show live: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, U.K., U.S. Other countries were excluded due to streaming regulations.
During the live concert, a Twitter widget will be occupying the bottom of the video, showing any tweets from people who used the #U2webcast hashtag and for those of you who miss the show, the entire thing will be posted on their Youtube channel tomorrow. U2, since its start 30 years ago, has quickly gained its popularity, picking up all things technological along the way, being honored with a gift from Apple, a U2 iPod and even a Blackberry. U2’s previous deal with Apple went wrong after, Bono (lead singer in U2), purchased a stake in Palm and currently Blackberry, who is sponsoring their latest concert. Tonight’s Youtube performance by U2 is live @ 8PM PT, you can view it here.
