Digg, the number one social news website for sharing and discovering content is about to get much better according to reports from sources and a blurry image (pictured above). This new counting feature seems to be something Digg will try out in the near future, to see how users interact with the site. Digg has not officially announced, or mentioned any details about this new feature so all we can say is that it will be up and running soon.

The 3 and the 25 you see in the image, replacing the old “Digg” button is a counter that counts down the amount of time a post will stay on the front page (3 minutes, 25 seconds for the post in the image). With this new feature, users will be able to vote on the post without seeing any comments or responses from other users. This is a great way for Digg users to get more hits on each post they put up, making it easier for someone to get onto the front page. As for Digg, they are looking at a large user increase if they begin to add more user friendly features such as this one.
