The iPhone has competition but from some unlikely opponents, international car brand BMW. The luxury car brand, BMW is currently working on their own App Store which they will implement in all Beamers. This new app store will provide Beamer owners with the ultimate iPhone like car experience and will carry a variety of apps, ranging from travel guides, geowikis, podcasts, Xing, Facebook, and Twitter.

With this new app store in the hands of the drivers, there is no need to ask for directions or wait to update your Twitter status, just do it straight from your car. Mercedes and Lamborghini are still out of the loop and await their technological makeover. This new app store is a great way to give BMW customers the best experience with their new cars, so much so, they wouldn’t dare step into another car.
