Green energy is the new buzz, so popular that London decided to harvest it into their streets. It works like this, every step that a person takes on these special streets, it generates 2.2 watts of power per hour which is then stored to power the cities gadgets and houses.

Done by Lawrence Kemball-Cook of Pavegen systems, the pavement generates enough electricity to keep majority of the city up and running on electricity, all green energy. This is a great way for the city to save money and eliminate the need for constant power checks and upgrades. As long as people are up and walking in busy, central areas, the city will always be lit.

That would be so awesome! Are they going to replace these with the regular street lights? I hope they come in different colours soon :P ~
