Apple TV is about to get even better with the newly introduced $30 TV subscription service that Apple is currently working on. Peter Kafka of All Things Digital recently talked to some industry executives who have been negotiating with them about a $30 a month on-demand TV service through Apple TV. This would make the Apple TV similar to that of a cable like service, completely ignoring the DVR market at this point. Kafka also said that there are currently 65 million iTunes accounts which Apple can use in order to get their new subscription service out to the public.

So far, there are no confirmed names or networks which Apple is working with but it is clear that the content available on the subscription service will be commercial free. This is a nice way for Apple to wedge themselves into a subscription based content market. Also, this may be hinting that a TV from Apple may be in the works, just put together the new iMac screens and this new service and there you have it.
