Car accidents can be horrific, but not if the proper safety precautions are taken. See, during a car accident, the driver has the most protection, from the sides, and front, but what about the passengers sitting in the back? Well, Ford is the first car company to create inflatable seat belts that work with the airbags in front of them in order to prevent neck injuries.
The seat belt is designed to protect against head, neck and chest injuries for backseat passengers, especially the elderly and children. This new seatbelt idea, currently being tested in Ford facilities. The inflatable seat belt is the first one to be manufactured worldwide and is one of the first to be designed for back seat passengers. Check out the video of the inflatable seatbelt.
