Intel is always thinking ahead of the curve, creating the world’s smallest microchips. Intel’s latest project is a chip that will allow people to change channels and go to websites with their minds, as if we’re not lazy enough. Intel estimates that in 2020, which is 10 years from now, consumers will be able to connect directly to their computers and other systems to control, manipulate, and use the information on it. So, it’s pretty much a early form of telekinesis with the help of a machine. They also estimated that remotes would not be necessary, and phone calls could be made directly by mental commands.
Intel has good intentions but this scares me a little bit. Every sci-fi movie out there, with robots taking over the planet is coming alive in Intel’s laboratories and the worst part of all of it is how lazy it’s going to make us. Consumers wouldn’t even have to lift a finger, we can just sit in our seats all day and have our electronics take orders from our minds. So what do you say? Do you think Intel is thinking too far ahead in the future?
