Black Friday is only two days away and price wars are heating up so we’ve decided to put together a list of steps to have a good, fun, competitive, and overall safe shopping day. So, hit the gym and get ready to run to your christmas gifts, follow these steps, and you’ll be good to go for Friday. Ready to avoid scams and wasted time? Here we go!
1. Non-Advertised items Mean Waste of time
Items in stores that are not advertised are usually a ploy to get you to buy something that you don’t want. In fact, around Black Friday, a lot of retail stores jack up prices on many items, hoping you’ll fall into their trap, just so they could squeeze that extra cash from you. For example, a house branded HDTV may go up in price to match other leading brands but normally the price would be a lot lower. So, just beware of un-advertised products and go for the good stuff, and try to get a deal on those.
2. Shop in Groups, Its More Efficient
When you shop alone, you’re more liekly to miss out on sales and great presents. The best way to get the most out of your 3AM shopping time is to take a few friends with you. You’re more likely to find better deals that way, and you can spend a little more time figuring out what your husband or wife’s present is going to be, you know, since you have more “soldiers” in the store helping you out.
3. Shop on Cyber Monday
If you’re the type that normally sleeps in on holiday weekends, and we know you will with all that turkey, then maybe Black Friday just isn’t for you. Waiting online at 6 AM for half off a waffle iron isn’t too comforting. Shop on Cyber Monday instead, when you’ll get many of the same deals, and you’ll be able to shop in the quiet, peaceful comfort of your own home.
4. Be The Kind One Out Of The Angry Mob
On Black Friday, the top stores with sales will usually have long lines outside, with angry, cold, and eager customers, ready to pounce on the low-priced deals but just because they are, you shouldn’t be either. Try to enjoy the sales and most importantly, try to be kind to the cashier. We know he doesn’t want to be bagging items all day for people who treat him like crap. Trust me, in the end, you’ll feel better that you got a bunch of good deals, and the cashier will too because he knows that someone in the mob appreciated the service he provided.
5. Have a plan ready
Most stores have already released their lists of savings online so if you plan out carefully, you wouldn’t have to go running about the store, looking for that HDTV youve been eyeing online for a while. Think it out, you still have a whole day until Black Friday, you can definetely do some amount of planning so you can assure that you’ll get the best of deals.
