Amazon continues to chug along this holiday season. Today they announced in a press release that November was the best month for them ever in terms of Kindle sales. They didn’t specify how many Kindles they’ve sold but it’s safe to say, they’ve sold a lot.
That’s a grand statement considering Amazon also sells Apple iPods, which are usually at the top of Christmas lists every year. This year it seems like eReaders are the way to go, as Barnes & Nobles announced earlier this month, that they’re Nook device was sold out till January.
Of course, part of Amazon’s increased sales were due to the decrease in price to $259 from $360 earlier this year and introducing a world edition in October. Since there are no hard numbers, we’ll just have to take Amazon’s word for it. They wouldn’t lie to us, right?
