When it comes to personal transporter vehicles, Segway has ruled the roost for quite some time. And it’s not like we haven’t seen companies try to topple the king from its throne. There’s just something about a vehicle that’s been featured in a “Weird Al” Yankovic song that captures the imagination. More »

From Wirebot:

In the great debate of “who is better, ninjas or pirates,” we have a new contender. Bill gates and the Microsoft crew have decided to take a crack at those dastardly swashbucklers. And no, I’m not talking about Johnny Depp and his crew of drunken plunderers. I’m talking about the good old fashioned, twenty first century, software pirates. More »

Hey everybody! Guess what holiday this Saturday is? That’s right, it’s National Gaming Day. NGD was created by The American Library Association in order to prove that video games can sharpen one’s reading ability and heighten their critical thinking. Well, either way, we all know that most people will be locked up in their homes plaing Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2. More »

Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft should be afraid because the iPhone is coming after them. The iPhone, since its introduction in 2007 has grown to be the face of the mobile smart phone market. Every new phone that comes out is always competing. Now, we did say before that the iPhone was falling behind, we still stand by it, but the truth is that iPhone hasn’t fallen behind yet which is the main thing. More »

It’s easy to get swept along by the seemingly never-ending torrent of iPhone games. Every week — hell, every day — dozens of offerings land in the App Store, waiting to be discovered. But what makes one of these games a classic? The iPhone is a platform that rotates around immediacy, and the best iPhone games hit you like a lightning bolt. Keep reading for games that I think do exactly that. More »

This, my fellow techies is the new Sharp 941SH phone, a genius piece of tech with an amazingly sharp resolution. See, the iPhone has only 480×320 pixels while the new Sharp 941SH holds a staggering 480×1024, on only a 4inch screen. The iPhone’s 3.5 inch screen can’t hold even half of the pixels that this phone has (over 700 more). More »

Somewhere, I’ve got files from the first computer I ever brought for myself on a few CD-RW discs. At this point I’m pretty sure they’ve been rendered unreadable due to time’s cruel march. CDs and DVDs just like cassette tapes and floppy disks before them degrade over time if not stored properly. I’ve since moved all my old data onto my new comp and am currently shopping around for an external hard drive to call my own, but this new product from Utah-based startup Millenniata might be another option. Has the iPhone lost it’s luster? This past week, after all the Droid and HTC news with Verizon, I’ve been considering leaving AT&T and the iPhone behind and moving to an Android based phone on the Sprint network because of the Employee family plan discounts (which are awesome).

I currently have an iPhone 3G, pay for a text messaging plan, and data, while sharing the minutes with my family (4 extra lines). The monthly bill comes out to around $170 (after taxes), and that’s not including data or texting on any other phone besides mine. At the same time, the Sprint Everything Plus Referral Program, offers 1600 minutes, unlimited texting and data for every line (5 lines) for around $155 before taxes (should be between $175-180 after taxes). That’s a big difference considering my siblings all want texting on their phones and one of them needs data cuz she’s doesn’t use her computer much. So, what’s holding me back from going through with this plan? The high ETF fees. More »
