Since the Rickrolling phenomenon began, I’ve always found it to be funny as all get out. There’s something simultaneously diabolical and impish about the bait and switch tactic that has always put a smile on my face. It’s kind of like a cue to stop and smell the roses, especially when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi decides to get a piece of the rickroll action. More »

Is the iPhone falling behind? That’s the question that is running through many of our minds at this point. With the release of the new Droid, its obvious that other phone manufacturers are capturing the mesmerizing features of the iPhone UI into their own. The new HTC Hero touch screen interface resembles that of the iPhone. The touchscreen ease is about the same and it allows excellent personalization which the iPhone lacks. More »

Here’s something we would expect Iron Man to use, the new Tundra Midnight Rider, created by Toyota in association with Brooks and Dunn. The Midnight Rider allows you to throw a tailgate party anywhere, in a parking lot or even on the side of any road. The party truck comes loaded with a “Chill N’ Grill” cooking area with an infrared barbecue, a beer tap, and an ice chest. More »

From Girlybubble: There’s just no escaping China. China is a force to be reckoned with and is literally, EVERYWHERE. Even my boss is Chinese. People, language, dim sum, pink digital HD camcorders — it’s like China is IN my brain waiting for the next GirlyBubble thought to be born. Looking at this super awesome pink digital HD camcorder from Chinavasion, my only thought now besides, “OMG! HAVE! WANT! NEED!” is why can’t pink be a communist color instead of red? More »

From Ningin: I’ll give you one guess as to which Asian country came up with this gem of an idea. More »

The iPhone is now being sold everywhere, Walmart, Bestbuy, and most recently, Radioshack. In a short press release today, Radioshack announced that a limited number of company owned stores will recieve both the iPhone 3G and 3GS to sell with two year contracts from AT&T. More »

Car accidents can be horrific, but not if the proper safety precautions are taken. See, during a car accident, the driver has the most protection, from the sides, and front, but what about the passengers sitting in the back? Well, Ford is the first car company to create inflatable seat belts that work with the airbags in front of them in order to prevent neck injuries. More »

Cleaning has never been easier with the new Samsung Tango robot vacuum. The new Tango helps you clean anything on your floor, from scrubbing your floors to tidying up your furniture. Equipped with 13 sensors along the sides, a 30 fps camera, and a crash sensor that sends out 26 to 6000 bursts to keep your device from crashing into your furniture, the Tango goves your floors the clean you’ve been looking for. From Girlybubble: If Audrey Hepburn had an iPhone, I doubt she’d Holly Golightly when it comes to Swarovski crystals on her iPhone case. Hepburn being ever-so-much the iconic figure for beauty and class, would most likely own an Audrey Charm faceplate. Could we blame her for picking a decorative tech/gadget frame line named after herself? More »

Usually I’m not a fan of digital photo frames. They were cool when they came out, a functional way to do something with those hundreds of photos you’d taken but never had the initiative to get put on a disk or get printed. As time’s gone by companies have felt the need to slap on more and more features including radio and a dedicated weather center to make their product stand out in the crowd. More »

Are you a shower singer? You know, one of those people whose singing voice sounds ten times better in the bathroom thanks to the weird acoustic properties? Yeah, me too. In my head and in my bathroom, I swear I sound like Mary J. Blige or Anita Baker. More »

Peek is a fairly new company, and with any new company comes trial and error, eventually leading to success. The Peek, an email and messaging only device was created by Amol Sarva when he realized that his pregnant wife wanted a simple device, without all of the bells and whistles attached. When Peek was first released, it became a big hit, users didn’t have to worry about monthly bills and minutes, it was everything for a lump one time fee. More »

The secret clubchouse knock from childhood is back and it couldn’t be better. This new programmable lock allows users to open their door through a series of rythmic knocks, directly attached to the deadbolt on your door. The lock has a mechanism which records and saves patterns of knocking so that whenever you knock this pattern, only this pattern on the door (slowly or quickly), it twists open the lock for you to enter your home. Here is something very surprising, something that blew my mind when I saw it, a vending machine in Tokyo, for burgers. Now, this is an amazing idea and a tasty one at that. The land of the rising sun is being dominated by vending machines, dispensing anything from t-shirts, all the way to cigarettes and Coca Cola on credit. More »

So I posted yesterday about how The Beatles are putting their entire record library onto an apple shaped USB for $279. As I was navigating the blogosphere, I saw Wired’s article about BlueBeat.com, a previously unknown music site that has been selling The Fab Four’s tuneage without their permission. As I read it, a line from Jay-Z’s “Friend or Foe 98″ kept playing in my head: “But I was like “Nah”, Homes had to know he was wrong. And if you caught me on the foul know you would sing me the same song.” More »
