A few weeks ago, it was rumored that Microsoft was releasing newer versions of their Zune HD, in different colors. Well, today’s latest gadget news brought a smile to many faces, when the new purple and magenta models were introduced. Microsoft added these new colors to appeal to different users, with the already existing colors, available in platinum, black, green, red and blue. Unfortunately, for those who purchase these special colors, a 16GB and 32GB flash memory is available only, so get ready to dish out a bit more cash.
As for the holiday season, Microsoft will be giving customers a break with a one month free subscription to Zune Pass, which is normally priced at $15 per month for all new purchases. The prices of the Zunes ($220 for 16GB and $290 for 32GB) have not dropped and won’t be expected to, until maybe next year, when Microsoft is likely to upgrade their product line.
