We all remember when a team of engineers came together to control an entire car with their iPhone. Well, this is sort of similiar but on a much smaller scale and works even better. Using the TouchOSC software, processing, and and arduino, Chris Rojas managed to create an Xbee tank that runs on solar power and can be controlled remotely from your iPhone. (Video after the break).
This Xbee tank works much better with the iPhone than the actual car, but the software is a lot better on this one, because it is opertaing something on a smaller platform. For DIY fans, you will find the parts and code for the Xbee tank here. This shows us just how powerful the iPhone really is. Perhaps, this wireless iPhone software could be used to control actual tanks during war, who knows?
