I know the Android OS for smartphones is nothing new, but my amazement has been renewed. I say this as I sit, writing this post from my HTC Dream on the bus. Usually this time would go to five or six games of sudoku, but thanks to an app I’ve recently discovered, never again will a moment of my life be wasted on personal time or fun and games.
The app is called ‘GDocs.’ It’s basically a smartphone portal to Google Docs, meaning you can write documents on your phone wherever you are, upload them to your Google account and edit or post them later from a computer.
If you have a schedule like mine — or any freelance writer/artist taking a condensed college course — anything like GDocs that can boost efficiency in otherwise wasted situations is an absolute necessity.
So, yeah, you could use your 45-minute commute to sip coffee and enjoy the view. Or you could transform your morning into a production super-fest like I have and write two blog posts, a script for your college final presentation and double-check all three for accuracy on the internet.
It’s your call.
