Generally, my poison of choice is the vodka tonic. While I’d much prefer that it’d be champagne, vodka tonic is usually the more economical choice. The Cocktail Cost Calculator on the other hand, tells us otherwise. Based on the bulk prices of the core ingredients that any well-stocked bar would have, this web-calculator allows you to figure out how much your drink is really worth if you just made it at home. For free, of course.
According to the Cocktail Cost Calculator, a vodka tonic for me is really worth 54 cents! That’s a million times more than the standard price of $5 for a vodka tonic. Something to keep in mind for those of you with New Year’s Eve plans.
