More news for eBook fans. Interead, the people behind Cool-er, the once cheapest eBook in the market, is planning to update their Cool-er devices with 3G and WiFi.

I was a fan of the original Cool-er device, just because they were the cheapest in the market, had many different colors to choose from and looked like an iPod. But now with updates features, (that are available on many other devices like Kindle and Nook), it’ll be another option for consumers. Now if they could keep the MSRP competitive to the Kindle and Nook, Cool-er 3G could take away some customers. Expect the device to drop in mid 2010.

From Wirebot:

When the Playstation 3 initially launched back in 2006 it came with two things, a high gloss exterior and a hefty price tag. The $499 (20GB) and $599 (60GB) price points gave gamers’ wallets a reason to gasp. Frugal gamers everywhere were given more of a reason to leave the Sony camp and purchase the Xbox 360, which were initially priced at $299 and $399 depending on the model. Loyal Playstation fans have always justified the higher price by stating that the Xbox 360 has less features and charges to play online, so in the end it equaled out to around the same price in their logic. This argument was well grounded until both systems received a price cut early this year. Now, it appears that after you add up the equipment necessary to make both systems technical equivilants, the Playstation 3 is the cheaper deal. But, don’t take my word for it, lets do the math. From Ningin: Do you like music and also happen to have a very unhealthy Hello Kitty fetish? If so, then you may want to drop $90 on this worthless piece of Hello Kitty gadget crap. Oh yes, I did go there. More »

The iPhone is an excellent smartphone, leader of the pack, ruling the market as a matter of fact but with Apple lacking in design upgrades, it’s starting to become a little bland to Apple users. So, because we techies are thinking far ahead to June of 2010, we’ve already began planning the new iPhone 4G. Rumors have been swirling (not online this time, surprisingly) that Apple is going to hook up with Verizon instead of AT&T this time, which means that an overhaul in design is in the works. More »

Archos has been out of the tech loop for a while now and they are trying to make a comeback with their latest gadget, the Archos 1 Vision. Archos is most widely known for their widescreen tablet, but they are also known for their famous media players. The Vision is designed as a low end and affordable media player, for those of you that don’t feel like paying a whole lot. The standard comes with a 1.5 inch screen and 4GB internal memory. More »

I was planning on getting to it but looks like CrunchGear beat me to the punch but last night’s episode of Big Bang Theory (the show one with the nerds and the hot girl), had the Amazon Kindle showing in almost every scene. Every scene that involved Leonard and Sheldon’s apartment. More »

As part of the ongoing preview on CrazySingleLife, we’re going to introduce some of the dating stars before the site launches. Each dater on CSL will have an alias derived from a color. They also have to write two posts before they start dating, an introduction post and a Mr./Mrs. Right post. The introduction post is meant as a description of themselves, but not like height, age, occupation. It’s more a window into their soul and the journey that their heart has been on. The second post is an open letter to the future Mr./Mrs. Right so that he or she will know to come calling on our daters.

The following except is from the introductory letter of Cerulean, one of the two female bloggers for CSL. On Monday, you met Tenne and on Wednesday you will meet Steel. Enjoy! More »

In today’s day and age, if you want something done or exposed, all you have to do is create some controversy (or have something awesome) and put it up on YouTube or some online forum and you’re good to go. 2009 had a lot of them, so let’s take a look at some of 2009’s most viral videos, people, and events. YouTube is being taken to another level. A group of students at Japan’s Keio University have decided that we all need to watch YouTube videos while warming something up in a microwave. Yup, these guys put together a concept where, depending on how long it takes for you to warm something up, a video of that same length would play. Once it’s over, the food gets warm up. More »

As if Twitter wasn’t popular enough, now it’s reaching a whole new crowd of people, Toddlers. That’s right folks, toddlers. Why they would need a social networking site at this age is beyond me but I guess some parents think it’s necessary. This social networking device is called a Twoddler and allows toddlers to view pictures and messages while the parents are away, so the toddler doesn’t miss them too much. More »

GPS systems are great devices to give as Christmas and birthday presents. They help guide you to where you need to go, and they make re-routing traffic a breeze but consumers are fed up with GPS systems. Why, you may ask? Well, MobileCrunch gives us this example from an accident that happened in 2008: the family of the deceased is suing Sprint and Samsung, because they feel the wireless carrier and the phone manufacturer is responsible for the accident because driver was distracted by a phone call.
