In a sport where top teams like McLaren, Ferrari, and Toyota each spend in excess of $400 million per year, $44,990 USD would not buy much; however, you can own an F1 car for precisely that amount from F1 Show Car. Unfortunately, their car is just a simulator and not the real thing. Still, for under fifty-grand, you get a full-size F1 chasis clad inside of a custom painted composite fiberglass body, complete with a full cockpit and racing tyres that turn.

Mounted atop a motion pneumatic platform, the car moves in response to your steering and the game’s action, which is displayed on a 19″ LCD (which I hope is a high quality panel!). If you crave a better/bigger screen, F1 Show Car is happy to install it for you. The company even has a video demonstration showing off its rig.

As a big F1 fan, I think that this is nothing short of awesome! Tempting as this toy is, if I had $50,000 to spare, I would rather build a really nice cart and rent track time. There has not been a great F1 racing simulation for awhile, but with the purchase of this ridiculously detailed car, you get a great game too.
