Yesterday, January 15th, McDonald’s officially launched its free wireless internet service in 11,500 of its 14,000 stores nationwide. The big chain fast food company has slashed the original $2.95 fee for two hours of wi-fi service and is now offering it completely free of charge. This now makes McDonald’s the largest provider of wi-fi hotspots in the country, with Ronald McDonald himself claiming that McDonald’s makes up at least 16% of the wifi hotspots in the country.
