It seemed as if the splurge of new e-readers was coming to an end last week, but surprise, surprise, big-time techno-corp Asus has just announced the release of their own e-reader called the DR-950. How does this new e-reader stack up to the competition? Let’s find out.
Sporting a 9-inch, 1024×768 OLED screen, the device is capable of displaying 16 levels of gray (because who needs color when reading a book?) and is only .35 inches thick. The device also features text to speech technology, has up to 4GB of internal memory with an additional SD card slot, and, of course, has wi-fi and web browsing capabilities. If Asus is able to partner up with another company to provide content, this device may be able to blow the others out of the water. We’ll see.
