Ever since its creation, it seems that the video sharing website YouTube has grown legs and is going for gold. Bought out by search engine giant Google, the website has recently announced that it will be testing out a movie rental service starting on Friday. YouTube is partnering with the Sundance Film Festival to make several independent films made available for rental. YouTube and Google hope to expand this same service to other film making companies in the future. Not only will movies be made available for computers, but Google also hopes that it will be able to distribute movies to devices such as mobile phones, gaming consoles, and television sets.
