Remember back in the good ‘ole days when you had to buy an entire CD just to hear the one song that you heard on the radio? Well, it’s back to the future where MP3s to your favorite songs are just a click away. But could these innocent downloads be hurting your favorite artists? CNN tells the story.

In the last four years, digital music sales have risen a whopping 940%. This increase, however, is apparently not enough to make up for the resulting loss of physical album sales, which seem to be dropping every year. The problem seems to be that many people are not paying for their music and are instead resorting to illegal file sharing to obtain their music. Companies say that competing with media piracy is the biggest problem that they have.

So support your favorite artists. Go to your local CD store and buy a CD.
