Art can be disgusting and stomach turning. So long as a piece evokes some emotion, it has achieved its purpose. Yesterday’s Guess This Gadget profiled a human skull adorned with jewels and helmeted by metal bars. If you had never seen this before and were able to pinpoint what it was, then you deserve a prize.

We are not giving away prizes right now, but I congratulate you if you guessed that this was a custom made camera created by morbid artist Wayne Martin Belger, who describes his creation as “Designed to study the beauty of decay.”

4”x5” camera made from Aluminium, Titanium, Brass, Silver, Gem Stones and a 150 year old skull of a 13 year old girl. Light and time enters at the third eye, exposing the film in the middle of the skull.

I am grossed out just writing about this.

Hehehehe. Interesting stuff you dig up there, Derek.

Agreed. Mr. Belger has interesting taste. I cannot agree that “decay” can be “beauty.” The terms are contradictory (not paradoxical).
