From Akazawa, PLEN is a 9″ robot that is powered by a 33 MHz ARM7 processor and can be controlled by Bluetooth from your computer or Android smartphone. If you have $2999.99, then you can import this “Desktop Hobby” droid from Japan.

Released a few years ago but still apparently available, PLEN is taken from the English word “plain,” and he is a wicked little guy that skates and has more than “20 adorable motions…pre-installed.”

- Degrees of Freedom: 18
- Height: 228mm
- Weight: 696g
- Wireless: Bluetooth
- Battery: Nickel hydrogen 6V-950mA
- Gyro Sensors for motion stability
- Software: PLEN

Akazawa is making only 50 of these, though I do not know how many are left in the limited edition run.
