Looks like Sony Ericsson is continuing its “green” crusade by introducing its new business line mobile device called the “Aspen.” Available in Q2 of this year, the housing of the Aspen is made of recycled plastics with a build that is lead-free. It also comes with an e-manual to cut paper use. This is all part of Sony Ericsson’s “GreenHeart” campaign.

But enough about being green. Let’s move on to the specs. Unlike many other smartphones that are being released this year, the Aspen will be running Windows Mobile 6.5.3. It has a 2.4 inch touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. Here are some of the physical specs:

- 4.6 x 2.4 x 0.5 inches
- 4.6 oz
- 240 x 320 pixels (QVGA)
- Iconic black or White silver
- 100MB internal memory with up to 16GB SD expandable
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
- UMTS/HSPA 900/2100
- 3.2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom

I’d like to say this phone looks promising, but with all the Android buzz in the air, people may be focusing more of their time on Aspen’s cousin, the Xperia X10.
