Looks like Google is out to fight disease. The search engine titan has just invested a couple million dollars into a biotech company called Adimab. The company’s main line of research has to do with antibodies and other disease fighting agents.
Google isn’t only investing money, however; it is also lending its computer power. Testing antibodies in a biological setting can be tedious. Google is helping to make the process easier by working with Adimab to create a 3D virtual environment where researchers can test antibodies and how they will look and react in a biological setting.
If this partnership is successful, drug development and the fight against disease will be taking a huge step forward.
