At a Tokyo news conference on Thursday, Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda made a remark that might mean that Sony will soon release their own tablet device. “That is a market we are also very interested in. We are confident we have the skills to create a product.”

Oneda also commented that although they are a little behind Apple in terms of tablet production, the company says tablet devices are something that they would like to work with. Although no exact details were given, Sony fans will be happy to know that their beloved company may soon be entering the tablet wars. Will they come out victorious? Maybe (GO SONY!).
