Millions are using Nintendo’s Wii as an exercise machine, but some are not careful enough. Probably due to the sheer number of owners, there are bound to be injuries. Reported Wii related accidents have led to sprains, broken bones, pulled muscles, dislocations, and even head traumas.

Warming up before taking on a Wii exercise is advisable. Stretching is part of all routines prior to physical exercise, but some players are not treating Wii usage seriously enough, resulting in negligent accidents that can be avoided.

Doctors believe that the Wii can be a great complement to real cardiovascular exercise, but it should not be substituted entirely for the actual activities. The next time you prepare to play virtual tennis, remember to limber up and strap on the Wiimote securely.
