After the Apple Store’s brief mysterious shutdown yesterday, the announcement everybody was waiting for was made…the release of…Aperture 3 (what?)?

Okay, so not what everybody was expecting. Aperture 3 is an update to the Apple photo-organizing/editing software. The innovative “faces and places” technology allows you to organize your photos based on the faces in the photos or where it was taken. The software also has some photo editing tools that allow for retouching and enhancing of photos.

So no new MacBooks, huh? That’s just too bad (sarcasm :-D)…
