The new Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft just hit the public a couple of months ago, but it looks like plans for an upgrade are already in the works. The Program Manager of the Windows 8 (aka Windows Next) team said that, ““The minimum that folks can take for granted is that the next version will be something completly (sic) different from what folks usually expect of Windows.”

Much speculation is being put on this new version of Windows. With the stark failure of Windows Vista, Microsoft quickly put out Windows 7. While it appeased many users, there are still those that want more, and Windows 8 promises to be something revolutionary. Microsoft has said similar things before…let’s hope they stick to it this time!

I haven’t even updated to my Windows 7 64 bit disc because it fails to write code for 99% of my audio instrument plugins and programs, Midi controllers, printers, scanners etc.
Unless they change that, I hardly even care.

At least with OSX 50% more of my devices will work in their 64 bit environment.

People can’t keep updating. It’s too expensive :-S
