Check e-mail, text your friends, call your mom, stop a bullet… Wait, what? That’s right. Stop a bullet. An Ohio woman said she was saved from an accident gunshot by her BlackBerry.

The bullet came from the pocket of a man putting on his coat. Apparently, the movement somehow caused the gun to fire right at the woman’s leg. Luckily, she was not seriously injured. The bullet penetrated her jeans, but did not make its way through the BlackBerry. The phone is, unfortunately, no longer usable.

What a story! So iPhone, do you have an app for THAT? I think not.
