The rumors of the Verizon and Skype love affair were true! Starting next month, a handful of compatible smart phones on the Verizon Wireless network will be able to gain access to Skype software that will allow for unlimited Skype-to-Skype calls with a Verizon 3G plan.
Currently, compatible phones will consist of the Motorola Droid, the HTC Droid Eris, the BlackBerry Curve 8530, the BlackBerry Storm 9530, the BlackBerry Storm2 9550, and the BlackBerry Tour 9630. Verizon is also advertising that with Skype mobile, users will be able to make low cost international and Skype-to-cell phone calls. See the source for more information.
