Sure, Windows Phone 7 just released, but that doesn’t mean that Windows Mobile 6.5 is dead just quite yet. Apparently when Windows Phone 7 becomes available for retail, Windows Mobile 6.5 will be called Windows Phone Classic.
These phones will be part of the Windows Phone Classic Series. It seems that Microsoft is going to keep this child alive for a little longer. Companies like HTC are not yet ready to write off WinMo 6.5 yet, and many are speculating that 6.5 will be getting some significant updates in the future.
