enTourage has had to make a minor price increase of its versatile, duo-screen eDGe e-reader/tablet: new pre-orders, which will ship in March, are now $9 more than before at $499. The price bump is due to Documents To Go software. Unlike Apple’s iPad, the eDGe has two LCDs and is truly unique in that it is a genuine e-reader and a netbook in one.
This demo video does an excellent job of presenting the eDGe as a fully featured device. Unlike the iPad, this machine can be used for office, school, and multimedia, whereas Apple’s tablet is aimed mostly at entertainment.

With the left screen’s e-ink technology, reading the eDGe in daylight is possible –do not try this with a glossy tablet LCD. My only big reservations about this device is the Marvell ARMADA PXA168 processor powering it. Although Marvell claims that it is capable of fast 3D and 720p, the PXA168, which currently tops out at 1.2GHz, is an unproven quantity. In the live presentations at CES (video below), the eDGe seemed to have decent speed though.
