I’m going to wholeheartedly admit that I did, at one time, play Farmville. But that’s not all. I’ve played many of the extremely addicting games that are available on popular social networking sites like Facebook. A year ago, games like these didn’t even exist, and now it seems that they’re beginning to pop up all over the place!

It’s a bit of an obsession. Deceiving simple games that require minimal effort somehow begin to absorb hours out of your day. Zynga, the team that develops Farmville, said that the aim is to make games simple enough that people wouldn’t mind coming back every few hours to play. “A great social game should be like a great cocktail party. If you want it to appeal to absolutely everyone you invite, it has to be broad in its content so that everyone gets it.”

This may well be a new trend in gaming: social network gaming. Come on now, guys, fess up. Which one of these games do YOU play?
