Viacom has announced that they will officially be pulling Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” from Hulu. As of March 9th, these shows will no longer be available for viewing on Hulu. Never fear, though, as they will still be available for viewing on the respective show websites.
Hulu is an ever-growing source of revenue, with users from all over swarming to Hulu to catch up on their shows. Companies like Viacom seem to be uncomfortable with this. It is speculated that Viacom is pulling the shows from Hulu in order to increase traffic to their own websites rather than to Hulu. In the end, it’s all about the money. Money makes the world go round… Right?
