OK, these are more like “pretty good,” not wicked, mods, but they are easy to install and take virtually minutes to assemble. I have never been in favor of chrome for anything, but somehow, these replacement cases for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3/PS3 Slim are tasteful.
The PS3/PS3 Slim replacement case will void your warranty if you install it, but since these consoles tend to be reliable, go ahead for $75.
XCM’s Xbox 360 case is $95 and fits the HDMI version and will also void your warranty. Since the 360 is nefariously unreliable, I would not tamper with the factory guarantee until it runs out. The reason why this kit costs more than the PS3’s is because it includes a “Wireless Controller Case and matching Hard Drive Case. Also includes Faceplate, DVD Bezel, and Eject Button.” I have taken apart 360s, and it is an easy job that anyone, and I mean anyone can accomplish.
