A survey by Crowd Science indicates that an alarming number of Blackberry owners “definitely or probably would” switch over to iPhone or Android when they make their next purchases.

39% of respondents say that they are going to get an iPhone, while 34% plan to purchase an Android smartphone. Overall, 49% of Blackberry users surveyed state that they are unlikely to buy another RIM phone next compared to 92% of iPhone owners who will remain with Apple, and 87% of Android buyers who are not switching.
Crowd Science’s “Android Study” evinces facts that most have known for sometime: namely, that Blackberry dominates businesses, and only 16% use it for “personal only,” whereas a sizable portion of Android (32%) and iPhone (28%) owners have their phones for private operation. If iPhone and Android can penetrate businesses, Blackberry could be in trouble.
