One of the sexiest modifications done to feminine beachwear, Andrew Schneider’s Solar Bikini integrates solar panels onto a bikini that acts as a power reserve for USB devices, especially the iPod.

See a short clip of it here.

Schneider’s invention is a medium-sized, two-piece bikini that is “retrofitted with 1″ x 4″ photovoltaic film strips sewn together in series with conductive thread,” and the “cells terminate in a 5 volt regulator into a female USB connection,” which will accommodate all USB peripherals like a newer iPod.

This piece of clothing vaporware would have been an interesting concoction, but it has never seen the light of day.
