Porsche Design is a brand that has been producing (mostly re-branding other products) wristwatches (from IWC), pens, and other luxury commodity for sometime: behold, the Singapore exclusive P’9522 phone priced at S$2,280 or $1600 USD.

Only 100 of these have been made, and only Porsche owners are entitled to one. For those of you in other countries, do not fret because the P’9522 is soon arriving in Hong Kong, Russia, Germany, Dubai, and China.

Manufactured by Sagem Wireless, the quad-band P’9522 Black Edition is equipped with a 2.8″ AMOLED (WQVGA) touchscreen, Bluetooth, Wireless, GPS, a 5 Megapixel camera, and features a solid aluminum, unibody enclosure with highly scratch resistant mineral glass, which (in case you were wondering) is cheaper and weaker than synthetic sapphire. For $1600, one would have expected 3G and a smartphone OS.

Porsche owners can now proudly shout to the world that there is no substitute for Porsche phones.
