Everyone has known that NVIDIA’s Fermi release date was March 26th, but until today, the specs and prices were not confirmed. VR-Zone has an official picture of the GTX 480, along with prices and numbers for both the 480 and 470.

Originally, the banter was that the GTX 480 would sell for upwards of $699, but VR-Zone is quoting $499 for the GTX 480 and only $349 for the GTX 470:

- GTX 480 : 480 SP, 700/1401/1848MHz core/shader/mem, 384-bit, 1536MB, 250W TDP
- GTX 470 : 448 SP, 607/1215/1674MHz core/shader/mem, 320-bit, 1280MB, 225W TDP

“Internal benchmarks reveal” that these Fermi cards are roughly 5-10% faster than the competing ATi Radeon 5850 and 5870 respectively.
