Steve Ballmer is audacious and explosive, but did you know that he is also a prophet? He has made plenty of notable remarks over the years, especially pertaining to Apple. Here are my favorite 10 recent quotes from the Chief of Microsoft.

(10) “I’m Microsoft’s primary champion of innovation.” (July 2006)

(9) Apple is a “cute, little, tiny niche guy.” (February 2007)

(8) “Apple iPod users are music thieves.” (October 2004)

(7) “Apple not a hot brand, our partners will make look-alike iPhones, I gotta go…” (March 2007)

(6) Regarding the digital home, “There is no way that you can get there with Apple. The critical mass has to come from the PC, or a next-generation video device.” (October 2004)

(5) “I run every morning.” (May 2007)

(4) “You know, anyway—can you find the applications you want on the Mac? Well, you don’t really get full Microsoft Office.” (October 2008)
