Lenovo’s newly announced L series Thinkpads are designed for durability, mobility, and affordability. The 14″ L412 and 15″ L512 are partially constructed from recycled materials and run the gamut from low-end Celeron processors and Intel graphics to Core i3/i5 CPUs with ATi Radeon 5145. Starting at $649, the L Thinkpads begin shipping in May.

Aesthetically, the L Thinkpads do not stray from Lenovo’s workmanlike shape and black plastic bodies. The standard displays are LED with 1366×768 resolution. Weighing about 5.22 pounds each, they can yield upwards of 8-hours battery life. Options like WiMAX and 3G are going to be offered.

Aside form the OS, the best part of MacBooks is the trackpad, which is just so smooth and accurate. I can do basic Photoshop work on it, whereas I have yet to find a Windows laptop that has a decent enough trackpad that enables me to use it at length without a mouse. Also, Expose hot-corners are absolute necessities for me when viewing a low-res screen like my 13″ MBP.

no intended offense to anyone, but ever since beginning to work primarily with Macs, other computers just look and feel so clunky and like they’re things of the past (or maybe Apples are just futuristic ;-)
if you’re a designer, do yourself and your clients a favor and invest in a Mac.. it will save you so much time and stress
