Many of us had hoped that Apple’s tablet would be a full-blown computer; instead, the iPad was unveiled as an “entirely new kind of device.” Calm down, fanboys, Windows XP can be run on the iPad by way of VMware ConnectWise.

Technically, XP is not “running” on the iPad, but so long as most of the operations work, who cares? Remote desktop client work saves you precious space on that 16 “gigabit” iPad anyway. Evolve Technologies CEO Dave Soble demonstrates how simple it is to use ConnectWise to run Windows XP on an iPad. Accelerometer works too. I am not sure how quickly the A4 chip handles a complete operating system like XP, but why not give it a go if you have an iPad?
