One of my pet-peeves is the misuse of terms like “knock-off” and “fake” to describe something that is merely a lookalike. Zenithink’s iPad “clone” is the latter, although it has widely been misrepresented as the former. Backed by premium features such as Android Eclair 2.1 (no outmoded Donut or Cupcake!) and 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, the Zenithink tablet might be good and could go for under $300.

Were Zenithink to use a good multi-touch, high-resolution display, its slate should be mega, despite missing built-in 3G, a webcam, and having a low-capacity battery (that ARM A8 is hungry!).
