At the Citrix Synergy Conference on Thursday, Michael Dell whipped out the 5″ Android Streak smartphone and proclaimed that it will be available in Europe through Telefonica next month, and that AT&T is carrying it Stateside later this summer.

Contrary to eWeek’s article, the Streak is not merely an “MID (mobile Internet device),” but is a GSM smartphone, the biggest Android phone ever, in fact. The Streak’s 5″ (800×480) LCD dwarfs the 4.3″ HTC Evo 4G. Dell’s monster smartphone has all of the goodies –1Ghz Snapdragon, Android Eclair 2.1 (OTA or stock), multi-touch, HDMI output, and a front-facing VGA webcam, although the rear camera is only 5-megapixel with duo-LED flash.
Prices? I wager that they will be steep.
