Just in time to capitalize on the fervor stirred by Apple’s Chinese iPad launch, the iPed is enclosed in an iPad lookalike case, which comes in an iPad replica box. Cannot pony up over $500 USD for an iPad? The iPed is just ¥9,600.

You though that “iPad” was an asinine name? “iPedo” is many times worse! ePad, aPad, or whatever else would have been better. Using Google’s Android operating system, the iPed is a slate with a 7″ capacitive LCD, which appears to be around 800×480 resolution and slow –notice the choppy Android animations. The iPed is being sold at a “Shenzhen city electric shop.”
