The $400 EP101TC is bargain 10″ slate running Windows Embedded Compact 7, while the EP121 is a higher-end $500 12″ capacitive multi-touch tablet that is powered by an Intel CULV Core 2 Duo processor and Windows 7 Premium. Both are expected to become available early next year.

For the 12″ model, which has a webcam, ASUS will be shipping a docking keyboard similar to the iPad’s. ASUS claims 10 hours of battery life with the CULV CPU. The EP101TC weighs 675 grams and is 12.2mm thin. Although larger (and thus perhaps not directly comparable), the EP121 looks way better on paper than the MSI Wind Pad 100 at the same price, but the latter will beat ASUS to the market.
