Among the many slate handhelds that ARCHOS is putting out is the Windows 7 Starter Edition 9 Tablet. I predict that because of the 8.9″ 1024×600 resistive touchscreen, Intel ATOM Z515 1.2 GHz, and higher than entry iPad price, ARCHOS will toil in vain to move this thing. The 9 is basically a slower version of the possibly canceled HP Slate. More »

From Htcyou: Supposedly, these are official brochure scans from RadioShack’s HTC Evo 4G promo. More importantly, the Shack could be stocking the phone on June 6th for $600 outright sale or $200 with a Sprint WiMAX contract. More »

From Htcyou: David Wong’s Android hack allows Google’s open source smartphone operating system to be installed on Apple’s iPhone 2G (1.8 million YouTube views and counting!). Now, the ROM has been ported over to work on the iPhone 3G too. Could the iPad be next? More »

With Apple’s Camera Kit and the Spirit Jailbreak, you can connect your iPad to any eternal hard drive. Don’t those of you who shelled out extra for the 64Gb model now feel a little cheated? Just kidding. Having copious internal storage is still invaluable if you can afford it. More »

Apple has sold over 1,000,000 iPads, with the 3G version virtually selling out everywhere, and this is even before the tablet has seen release beyond America’s borders. In the meantime, netbook sales have dropped so significantly that the little computer scarcely has a pulse left. Is the iPad killing netbooks? In my opinion, no. The netbook has swallowed up itself. From Htcyou: Well, it did not make the “before May” $179 goal, but the ARCHOS 7 Home Tablet is scheduled to ship by June at $199 for an 8Gb model. More »

Hidden beside each 16-inch front wheel are two 500-watt electric motors that propel Hammacher Schlemmer’s $1995 Electric Personal Transporter forwards at up to 14 miles per hour, making it faster and less than half the price of a top range Segue PT. More »

What do you reckon is more pathetic, this clown’s inflated price or his sales pitch full of lies? Canadians are enviously eyeballing their American cousins’ iPads. The impetuous are prime targets for sellers scheming to make money by offering (at well over MRSP) locally unavailable gadgets. How about $1200 for a NEW IPAD 64GB + APPLE KEYBOARD DOCK? Wait, want the keyboard dock? Add $100. Did I say “NEW”? I meant “used for 2 days.” More »

RIM’s 9670 flip-phone was leaked yesterday, and it is unattractive; however, RIM likely will make cosmetic alterations before releasing it, purportedly for Verizon and Vodafone. More »

OCZ is my brand of choice for power supplies and RAM, but the company makes respected solid-state-drives too. The new Enyo is a line of external USB 3.0 (backwards compatible) hard drives in 64, 128, and 256Gb capacities, and they are pricey. More »
